Purpose of the Position
Executive Jet Management is actively seeking highly qualified Second in Command (SIC) candidates to operate a Citation Sovereign+ aircraft. This vital position is based in Boca Raton, Florida (KBCT). This operational account is conducted under Part 135 regulations, supported by a three-pilot team and an onsite Maintenance Technician.
The SIC is directly responsible to the Chief Pilot for the safe and efficient performance of all assigned flight duties. For scheduled trips, the SIC reports directly to the assigned Pilot in Command (PIC) for all delegated responsibilities. The role mandates comprehensive proficiency in cabin safety systems, general operations, and all appropriate Abnormal and Emergency procedures. A primary responsibility includes ensuring the absolute welfare and safety of all passengers.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
The Second in Command is expected to perform duties in strict compliance with the Company General Operations Manual (GOM), all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations, Operations Specifications, and applicable Flight Manuals.
Operational and Safety Management
Ensures strict adherence to the company's goals for safety, security, and quality through continual compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS) program.
Reports any observed safety, security, or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations through appropriate internal processes.
Maintains and provides the Flight Operations Training Department with a current copy of the required First Class Medical Certificate by the specified monthly due date.
Accurately logs and reports all flight and duty times.
Reports all commercial flying performed outside the Company to the Flight Operations Center for inclusion in the Flight and Duty Time Records.
Service and Administrative Duties
Provides the highest level of customer service excellence at all times during flight operations.
Coordinates and obtains necessary cabin provisions, including catering, as identified by the Flight Operations Center prior to departure.
Completes thorough post-flight activities, including the removal of all debris from the cockpit and cabin areas, and the disposal of used ice, coffee, and catering supplies.
Reports any interior equipment discrepancies immediately to the PIC.
Coordinates all work schedules and schedule changes with the Chief Pilot.
Required Experience and Qualifications (KSAOs)
Professional Profile
Candidates should possess 2–4 years of relevant aviation experience. Minimum Flight Time Requirements
The successful applicant must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:
Total Flight Time: 2,500 hours
Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
Pilot in Command (PIC): 500 hours
Instrument: 150 hours
Jet: 250 hours
Turbine Engine: 100 hours
Time in Type: 50 hours
Certifications and Licensing
Must maintain a valid Medical certificate.
Will be required to obtain an FAA Type rating in the applicable Fleet type (Citation Sovereign+ / CE-680).
Preference is granted to local candidates who possess a CE-680 rating and similar aircraft size experience.
