The Pilot is responsible for ensuring a superior air transportation experience while maintaining a high standard of safety. The role involves direct interaction with owners/passengers, providing pre-flight briefings, weather updates, safety information and in-flight service, including the handling of alcohol and catering. The pilot must also handle baggage and accommodate passengers with pets or those who smoke. They serve as the final authority on aircraft operations, adhering to all safety regulations. The pilot acts as a liaison between owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO to final destination and is responsible for reporting any maintenance issues to the NetJets Maintenance Control Center (MCC). This position requires the completion of all associated paperwork and other duties as assigned.
A high school diploma is required for this position. Candidates must hold a written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and a First-Class Medical Certificate. Specific experience is not explicitly specified; however, the pilot must possess the following: FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating (IAW 61.160); be at least 21 years of age; possess 1,500 hours total flight time experience, 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate, 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate; 200 hours cross-country flight time; 250 hours fixed-wing PIC; 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings; 75 hours of instrument time; ATP written completed prior to start of Indoctrination Training; 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time; a current FAA First-Class Medical certificate; and an FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit. A valid passport and the authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions are also necessary. The position requires flexibility, including the ability to work varying hours, manage rest, and work for up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days spanning time zones and extreme weather conditions. They must be able to pass TSA required background screening and secure appropriate airport authority/US Customs security badges. A valid State driver's license is also required, along with fluent English communication skills. Candidates must be service-oriented with a professional appearance and possess excellent communication and decision-making skills. The pilot must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and to work around animals and passengers who smoke.
The base salary range for this position is $69,932 - $95,696.
