First Officer Pilot - South Region

NetJets Aviation, Inc. seeks a highly skilled and service-oriented First Officer to join its crewmember team in the South Region. This pivotal role requires a commitment to safety, exceptional service, and professionalism. Location:

This position offers a wide range of base options within the Southern United States, including locations in Florida (Fort Myers, Eglin AFB, Tallahassee, Key West, Tampa, Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Pensacola, Gainesville, Melbourne, Birmingham, Fort Lauderdale, Sarasota, Panama City, Orlando, Miami), Alabama (Huntsville, Montgomery, Mobile), Georgia (Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta), Louisiana (Lafayette, Shreveport, Alexandria, Baton Rouge, New Orleans), and Mississippi (Gulfport, Jackson).

Key Responsibilities:

The First Officer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, adhering strictly to FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs). They will provide exceptional in-flight service, including catering and baggage handling, while acting as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets. This role requires adaptability, as the successful candidate must be able to manage flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke. The First Officer is also responsible for communicating any maintenance discrepancies to the NetJets Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and completing necessary paperwork. They serve as a key safety authority on board the aircraft, ensuring all operational areas comply with regulatory guidance. Additional duties may be assigned based on operational needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) written exam completed.
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Must meet requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating:
    • At least 21 years of age.
    • 1,500 hours total flight time, or 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP, or 1,000 hours with military qualification, or 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP.
    • 200 hours cross-country (greater than 50 nm) flight time.
    • 250 hours fixed-wing PIC.
    • 100 hours of night flying (or 75 hours with ≥ 45 night takeoffs and landings).
    • 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight).
    • 50 hours fixed-wing multi-engine time.
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
  • Valid passport with no international travel restrictions.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
  • Valid State driver's license.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
  • Ability to work varied schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to rapid changes and manage rest periods for flight duty.
  • Ability to secure required airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
  • Must pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening.
  • Service-oriented with a well-groomed appearance and demonstrated ability to interact effectively with passengers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
  • Ability to make quick, accurate decisions with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive base salary range of $69,932 - $95,696, commensurate with experience. NetJets provides a comprehensive benefits package, including free medical, dental, and vision coverage, an exceptional 401(k) plan with a 61% company match, paid time off, disability programs, commuter benefits (as applicable), and company-paid basic life insurance. Depending on the role, employees may also be eligible for overtime pay, shift differential pay, quarterly bonuses, and/or annual discretionary bonuses.

Flexible Schedules:

Pilots can choose from a variety of schedules that are revised every four months, including options like 7 days on/7 days off, 8 days on/6 days off, or various CC (Consolidated Crew) schedules.
