Pilot (First Officer) - Midwest Region
NetJets Aviation, Inc. seeks a highly skilled and experienced First Officer to join its growing Midwest region team. This role is an integral part of NetJets' commitment to providing exceptional air transportation experiences for its Owners and passengers, while maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Execute safe and efficient aircraft operations, adhering to FAA regulations, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Provide pre-flight briefings to Owners/passengers, including itinerary details, weather updates, and safety instructions.
- Deliver in-flight service, catering to Owner/passenger needs, including handling of alcohol and catering service.
- Manage loading and stowing of baggage as required.
- Adapt to varying flight requirements, including accommodation of pets and smoking passengers.
- Serve as the final authority on aircraft operation, ensuring adherence to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Act as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from arrival to departure.
- Report maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller on duty.
- Complete associated paperwork for reported maintenance issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- Minimum of 1,500 hours of total flight time experience, or 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours of cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
- 250 hours of fixed-wing PIC experience.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time).
- ATP written exam completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel internationally without restrictions.
Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional communication skills (oral and written), particularly under pressure.
- Strong decision-making abilities with attention to detail, both technically and in regards to passenger service.
- Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Adaptability to rapid changes and a flexible work schedule.
- Proficiency in managing personal rest to ensure readiness for flight duty at all times.
- Ability to work around animals, including handling and care before, during, and after flights.
- Ability to manage flights with smoking Owners.
- Ability to secure necessary airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Ability to pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening.
- Valid State driver's license.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).
- Service-oriented with a neat and professional appearance.
- Ability to interact effectively with passengers and make a positive impression.
