Executive Jet Management (EJM) Second in Command – Challenger 300
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, invites applications for the position of Second in Command (SIC) for a Challenger 300 based in Jacksonville, FL (KJAX). This is a four-pilot operation under Part 135 regulations, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician. Ideal candidates will reside within a two-hour driving radius of Jacksonville.
Purpose of the Position:
The SIC will share responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring passenger well-being and providing exceptional customer service. This includes proficiency in all aspects of cabin safety, service, systems, and operations, including abnormal and emergency procedures. The SIC reports to the Chief Pilot for all assigned duties and to the Pilot in Command (PIC) for all duties assigned during a specific flight.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Adherence to all company General Operating Manuals (GOMs), FAA regulations, operational specifications, flight manuals, and other pertinent instructions. Active participation in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting any safety, security, or quality concerns or non-compliance observations.
- Post-flight aircraft interior maintenance, encompassing cockpit cleaning, debris removal (ice, food, etc.), and reporting of any equipment discrepancies to the PIC.
- Proactive coordination of all cabin requirements, including catering, as directed by the Flight Operations Center, ensuring the highest standards of customer service.
- Collaboration with the Chief Pilot regarding scheduling and schedule changes. Accurate logging and reporting of flight and duty times, including all commercial flying outside of EJM operations.
- Timely submission of a current First Class Medical Certificate copy to the Flight Operations Training Department by the 20th of each month.

Experience and Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience as a pilot.
- Total flight time: 2500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 500 hours
- Instrument: 150 hours
- Jet: 250 hours
- Turbine Engine: 100 hours
- Time in Type: 50 hours
- Valid First-Class Medical Certificate (required). FAA Type Rating in Challenger 300 (will be provided).
