Etihad Airways UAE National Cadet Pilot Programme

Etihad Airways is thrilled to announce the opening of applications for its UAE National Cadet Pilot Programme. This program presents an exceptional opportunity to join Etihad during a period of growth and transformation, as the airline seeks to recruit its next generation of pilots to fly its expanding fleet.

This program offers aspiring pilots the chance to embark on a rewarding career with one of the world's leading airlines. Successful candidates will undergo rigorous training to the highest industry standards, developing both their personal and professional capabilities to excel in a demanding yet fulfilling aviation career.

The Programme

The program encompasses a comprehensive two-and-a-half-year training curriculum, designed to equip participants with the necessary flight qualifications. Trainees will participate in ground school, flight simulations, and practical flying training. Etihad maintains a "Safety First, Always" approach, reflected in its exceptional safety record. This commitment to safety permeates the training program, ensuring that all pilots are trained to adhere to stringent protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements. Throughout the training journey, trainees will benefit from the mentorship and support of highly experienced instructor pilots.

Funding and Salary

Successful candidates will receive a monthly salary of AED 5,000 during the first two years of training. Upon completion of the License Skill Test (LST), the salary increases to AED 16,667, supplemented by variable allowances for six months. Following completion of line training under supervision (LFUS), the salary further increases to AED 24,000, again with the inclusion of variable allowances. Salary increments will be implemented for four years, culminating in a monthly salary of AED 34,000.

Upon attaining the required flying hours and obtaining the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), pilots will be promoted to Senior First Officer (SFO), earning a monthly salary of AED 39,853.

Selection Process

Candidates will undergo a thorough medical assessment to ensure their fitness to fly. Additionally, they will participate in aptitude testing designed to evaluate their potential for a successful aviation career. The selection process also includes interviews with members of Etihad's team, who will assess the candidate's motivation, communication skills, and teamwork abilities. Successful candidates will possess strong decision-making skills, clear and effective communication, the ability to remain calm under pressure, meticulous attention to detail, and the aptitude to think laterally and solve complex problems.
