Programme Overview and Training

The Cadet Pilot Programme requires a dedicated two-year commitment to a structured training regimen. This comprehensive curriculum includes obtaining necessary flight qualifications, undertaking ground school both within the UAE and internationally, engaging in advanced flight simulations, and participating in practical flight training. Adhering to Etihad's unwavering 'Safety First, Always' philosophy is paramount. The training emphasizes strict adherence to safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all regulatory requirements, building upon the airline's exemplary safety record. Stipend and Career Progression

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of AED 5,000 during the initial two-year training period. Upon successfully completing the License Skill Test (LST), the monthly salary will increase to AED 16,667, supplemented by variable allowances for a period of six months. Following the completion of supervised line training (LFUS), the salary will be further elevated to AED 24,000, plus variable allowances. This is followed by annual increments for four years, culminating in a monthly salary capped at AED 34,000. Upon accumulating the requisite flying hours and obtaining the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), individuals will be promoted to the role of Senior First Officer (SFO), earning a monthly salary of AED 39,853.

Candidate Requirements

Etihad Airways is seeking motivated individuals who meet the following criteria:

Must be a UAE National.
Age between 18 and 29 years old.
Minimum height of 160cm.
Possess a High School Diploma with an overall minimum grade of 80%, including successful completion of Mathematics and Physics, or hold a higher education qualification (e.g., Bachelor's or Master's degree).
Achieved a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or a Minimum EmSAT English score of 1250.
For male applicants, completion of or a permanent exemption from UAE National Service at the time of application is required.
Demonstrate a profound passion for aviation.
Exhibit a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Possess excellent command of both written and spoken English.
