Role Description and Responsibilities
The First Officer serves as the second-in-command of the flight operation, maintaining direct accountability and responsibility to the assigned Captain. Key duties include managing aircraft systems, ensuring adherence to all standard operating procedures, and contributing to the collaborative cockpit environment.
The First Officer must be prepared and qualified to seamlessly assume full command of the aircraft and flight operation should the Captain become incapacitated during a flight. This role requires the utmost professionalism, adherence to stringent safety standards, and exemplary aeronautical decision-making skills.
Elite Airways offers exceptional operational flexibility, permitting successful candidates to maintain residency anywhere within the contiguous United States, provided the location is in close proximity to a commercial airport.
Minimum Qualifications (Pilot Requirements)
Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for the First Officer position:
- Minimum of 1,500 total flight hours (all aircraft types accepted).
- Possession of a current and active Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) written certification.
- Possession of a current Restricted Airline Transport Pilot (RATP) certification.
- Possession of a current and active passport, enabling international travel.
- Current and active FAA Medical Certificate, Second Class (Required).
- Current and active FAA Medical Certificate, First Class (Requested).
