Aviation Pilot - Job Description
This position requires a highly skilled and experienced pilot to join our team. Applicants must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Licensing:
- A valid Australian Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or Australian Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with passing grades in all Australian ATPL Theory subjects.
- International applicants should consult the CASA website for detailed license information.
- English Language Proficiency Level 6 on the applicant's license.
- Endorsements:
- Current endorsements for Instrument Approach 2D and 3D on a current Australian Instrument Rating – Multi Engine Aeroplane.
- New Zealand applicants must have converted their license and ratings to an Australian equivalent prior to applying.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 700 hours of total aeronautical experience.
- 250 hours or more as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of a multi-engine aeroplane (MEA) (excluding Instrument Current Upset Simulator (ICUS) and flight simulator time); or 250 hours or more as PIC of a single-engine turbine aircraft exceeding 3,400kg Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) (excluding ICUS and flight simulator time); or 250 hours or more as a co-pilot in a multi-engine turbine, multi-crew aircraft (excluding ICUS and flight simulator time).
- Medical and Security:
- A current CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate.
- Willingness and ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test.
- Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC). This requires extensive background and security checks, conducted at the applicant's expense.
- Passport:
- A current passport with at least 12 months of validity and unrestricted access to all Qantas ports of call.
