B737 First Officer - ASL Airlines Ireland
ASL Aviation Holdings, a global aviation services company with a fleet exceeding 160 aircraft, specializing in cargo and passenger airline operations, aircraft leasing, and maintenance, is seeking experienced B737 (300-900) First Officers for a long-term assignment with ASL Airlines Ireland, supporting cargo operations. Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, ASL Aviation Holdings comprises five wholly-owned airlines: ASL Airlines Ireland, ASL Airlines Belgium, ASL Airlines France, ASL Airlines United Kingdom, and ASL Airlines Australia. The First Officer assists the Commander in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of each flight. In the event of the Commander's incapacitation, the First Officer assumes command.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute flight-related duties as assigned by the Commander, adhering to Company Standard Operating Procedures, aircraft limitations, and performance standards.
- Promote a positive and cooperative atmosphere among crew members.
- Advise the Commander if any aspect of flight preparation appears overlooked.
- Continuously monitor the aircraft's position and terrain clearance, providing independent verification and support to the Commander.
- Seek clarification from the Commander as needed to effectively fulfill the First Officer role.
- Maintain impeccable personal standards of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a Company representative.
- Support the Commander in upholding high standards of professional expertise and morale within the crew.
- Ensure the validity of the operational flight plan and file the Air Traffic Services Flight Plan with the appropriate authority.
- When utilizing stored flight plans, verify the correct plan is activated.
Essential Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 200 hours as an approved course graduate.
- Valid EASA-issued ATPL or Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with frozen ATPL, and a multi-engine instrument rating (IR).
- Certificate of satisfactory completion of Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (AUPRT) in accordance with FCL.745.A.
- Certificate of satisfactory completion of multi-crew co-operation (MCC) in accordance with AMC1 FCL.735.A.
- Comprehensive flight school report, written in English and signed by the Flight School’s Head of Training (HOT). The report must detail all ATPL results (including repeats), CPL & MEIR series passes, and overall training performance. This requirement applies to both Integrated and Modular students.
- Cadets who have completed a modular course must possess 100 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC), or 70 hours as PIC if completed during a course of integrated flying training as set out in Appendix 3 A, C & D to Part-FCL and AMC1 to Appendix 3 A, C & D.
- Hold, or be willing to convert to, an Irish Licence.
- ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 minimum.
- Valid Class 1 medical certificate.
- Must be eligible to live and work within the EU.
- Base will be in Germany, and the candidate must reside within 90 minutes of the assigned base.
Assessment and Selection Process:
The selection process will include:
- AON Pre-Assessment Test.
- Personnel Interview (HR and Flight Operations) – Approximately 45 minutes, conducted in Dublin, Ireland.
- Pre-Simulator Briefing.
- Simulator Assessment in a B737 simulator – 45 minutes as Pilot Flying (PF), assessing basic handling skills, CRM, and flight management. The simulator assessment takes place in Dublin, Ireland.
