Position: ATR First Officer
ASL Airlines (United Kingdom) is seeking experienced ATR First Officers for a long-term assignment dedicated to supporting essential cargo operations. The primary purpose of this role is to support the Commander in the safe and efficient conduct of all flights. In the event of the Commander's incapacitation, the First Officer is responsible for assuming command of the aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute assigned duties concerning the flight in strict accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures, including procedures, limitations, and performance specific to the aircraft type.
- Contribute to fostering a professional atmosphere conducive to effective understanding and cooperation among all crew members.
- Advise the Commander if, in their professional judgment, any aspect of flight preparation has been overlooked.
- Confirm the safe navigation of the aircraft, diligently maintaining continuous and independent checks on both the aircraft's geographical position and safe terrain clearance. Proactively offer relevant advice, information, and assistance to the Commander to enhance the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
- Seek and receive necessary information or explanations from the Commander required to effectively fulfil the First Officer's responsibilities.
- Maintain consistently high personal standards of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of the Company.
- Actively support the Commander, leading by example, in developing and maintaining high standards of professional expertise and crew morale. Ensure the validity of the operational flight plan and, when required, file the Air Traffic Services Flight Plan with the appropriate authority. Verify the activation of the correct plan if using stored flight plans.
Requirements
- Minimum of 500 hours total flying time, including a minimum of 250 hours on CS-25 aircraft.
- Possession of a valid UK CAA-issued ATPL or Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with an instrument rating (IR).
- Current type rating on ATR aircraft.
- Minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4.
- Holding a valid UK CAA Class 1 medical certificate.
- Must be legally eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom.
- The operational base for this position will be East Midlands Airport, United Kingdom.
