About the Opportunity
Driscoll's is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Chief Pilot to join their aviation team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the company's Falcon 2000EX (Easy) aircraft.
The Assistant Chief Pilot will collaborate closely with the Manager of Aircraft Maintenance and Senior Manager of Aviation to maintain the aircraft to the highest standards. This includes developing best practices for extending component service life, reviewing support services such as flight planning resources and in-flight data connectivity, and ensuring pilots utilize the safest and most optimized systems for aircraft operation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in solving complex problems and developing innovative solutions related to aircraft operation.
- Communicate regularly with the Senior Manager of Aviation and Manager of Aircraft Maintenance to address operational and technical issues.
- Lead functional teams on projects to optimize aircraft maintenance and operations.
- Develop and implement best practices for aircraft maintenance, flight operations, and crew training.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives.
- Domestic and international travel up to 90%.
Candidate Profile
Requirements:
- FAA-issued Airline Transport Pilot License (never suspended or revoked).
- Minimum 10 years of experience flying turbine-powered aircraft.
- Valid driver's license with no serious violations.
Minimum Experience Required:
- 3,000 hours of total logged flight experience.
- 1,500 hours Pilot In Command.
- 1,000 hours in Jet or Turboprop.
- 250 hours of actual instrument time.
- 300 hours of night time.
- 200 hours in type (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Four-year university degree.
- FAA type rating in the Falcon 2000EX (Easy) aircraft.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license with experience in general aviation aircraft maintenance.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a flexible schedule.
- California driver's license and eligibility for company-sponsored vehicle insurance.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
Compensation & Benefits:
Driscoll's offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications. The estimated salary range for this position is $179,000 to $220,000 USD. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) with employer match, profit-sharing, paid time off, and an Employee Assistance Program.
