Islander (BN2T) Captain - Draken Europe

Draken Europe is seeking applications for the position of Islander (BN2T) Captain to join their fleet based in Greater London, UK. This role is critical to the company's operations, requiring a highly skilled and responsible aviation professional.

The Islander Captain is ultimately responsible for all aspects of safety and security whenever the aircraft is being operated under the sole supervision of the operating crew throughout the period of command. This position serves as one of the primary interfaces with the customer and, as such, plays a significant role in maintaining the Company’s reputation, competitive position, and commercial success.

The Role:

As an Islander (BN2T) Captain, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the ultimate safety and security of the aircraft and its occupants during all flight operations under their command.
• Acting as a primary interface with customers, upholding Draken Europe's high standards and contributing to client relationships.
• Maintaining adherence to all relevant aviation regulations and company procedures.

Requirements:

Draken Europe seeks candidates who possess the following qualifications, experience, knowledge, and skills:

Educational/Vocational Qualifications:

• Hold a valid UK CAA Licence (CPL/(F)ATPL/ATLP).
• Ability to maintain command status on the major type of aircraft engaged in the role.

Experience:

• A minimum of 1000 flying hours.
• Suitably qualified and experienced as a Pilot.
• Suitably experienced in the management of aircrew.
• Experience in the delivery of contracted Flight Operations.

Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of Flight Operations management practices and values.
• Reasonable level of competence with Microsoft Office tools.
• Knowledge of flight operations in the civil aviation environment.
• Knowledge of flight operations in military or government aviation is desirable.
• Understanding of general business management principles, including budget setting and control.
• Strong domain knowledge of customer operational requirements and customer platform capabilities.

Additional Requirements:

Applicants will be required to achieve and maintain the highest level of UK national security clearance for this position.
