How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Flight Training Procedures Instructor conducts training modules in New Hire Pilot Indoctrination, Return to Work (RTW) Pilot Reorientation and Instructor/Evaluator Principles of Instruction (POI) courses in accordance with applicable company policy and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Training assignments include classroom facilitation, instructor-led technical training, knowledge testing and hands-on drills.
Pilot Indoctrination and RTW instructional subjects include, but are not limited to Security, Operations Specifications, Aircraft Operating Manuals, Crew Member Duties & Responsibilities, Aircraft Performance, Weight & Balance, Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Usage, Flight Planning & Dispatch Procedures.
POI subjects include but are not limited to Fundamental Principles of the Teaching-Learning Process; Instructional Methods, Procedures and Techniques; Evaluating Student Performance; and communication skills.
Responsibilities include conducting student progress assessments and preparation for end-of-course examinations. Assists with class scheduling, logistics and communications. Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for e-learning and ILT program development projects. Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

The starting salary will be $4,939.02 monthly ($59,268.24 annually).

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Minimum of two-year college degree or equivalent work experience as an instructor/facilitator required.
+ Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
+ Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ FAA Ground Instructor Certificate with Advanced and/or Instrument Rating (AGI or IGI) preferred.
+ Candidates not holding an FAA Ground Instructor certificate must be eligible to obtain an FAA Advanced Ground Instructor Certificate and are expected to obtain this certification within twelve months of hire.
+ Candidate must successfully complete, or have completed previously, Delta Instructor/Evaluator Indoctrination curriculum and Academic Instructor Qualification curriculum.
+ Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ FAA Ground Instructor Certificate with Advanced and/or Instrument Rating (AGI or IGI) preferred.
+ Candidates not holding an FAA Ground Instructor certificate must be eligible to obtain an FAA Advanced Ground Instructor Certificate and are expected to obtain this certification within twelve months of hire.
+ Experience teaching technical, non-technical and compliance training programs preferred. Experience with air carrier training programs strongly preferred. Airline Transport Pilot certificate or Commercial Pilot certificate with Instrument Rating or military equivalent preferred. FAA Certified Flight Instructor certificate or military equivalent preferred.
