Position Summary:
The First Officer or Co-Pilot plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of company flight operations. Working in close collaboration with the Captain, this position assists with flight planning, preparation, execution, and passenger service, upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Captain to ensure successful and safe flight operations.
- Performs assigned duties during flight and flight preparation, assisting the Captain with overall safety responsibilities.
- Ensures strict compliance with all federal, state, local, and foreign regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Reviews and accurately calculates aircraft weight and balance, required fuel load, and utilizes performance charts.
- Maintains readiness to assume command and pilot duties should the Pilot in Command become incapacitated.
- Ensures the aircraft is meticulously clean and prepared for flight, providing all necessary provisions for passenger safety and comfort.
- Delivers excellent customer service to passengers.
- Adheres strictly to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company policies pertinent to assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Possesses flight hours, certifications, and training credentials necessary to meet FAA and insurance requirements for the designation.
- Holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP).
- Type ratings include Airplane Multi-Engine and Instrument Airplane.
- Minimum flight experience includes 2000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC), 50 hours in Turbo-Jet Aircraft, and at least 1,000 hours in Multi-Engine Aircraft.
- Must possess a valid United States Passport and a valid State driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a Second-Class Medical certificate is required.
