Corning Incorporated, a global leader in materials science, seeks a skilled and experienced First Officer to join its aviation team. For over 160 years, Corning has consistently innovated and transformed industries with its expertise in specialty glass, ceramics, and optical physics. The company operates a fleet of Falcon 900EX EASY and Challenger 850 aircraft, dedicated to supporting its diverse business operations.

This role requires an individual committed to upholding the highest safety standards and providing a professional and courteous experience for all passengers and company personnel. The First Officer will work in collaboration with other flight crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Corning aircraft.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with flight crew members to ensure the safe operation of Corning aircraft during routine operations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of aircraft procedures, systems, and advancements, adhering to all aviation training requirements and IS-BAO standards.
  • Conduct thorough preflight inspections to confirm the aircraft's airworthiness in accordance with FARs and Corning's internal policies.
  • Analyze current and forecasted weather conditions prior to each flight.
  • Assist with handling aircraft, passengers, and baggage at terminal points, including lifting as required.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with passengers and company personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Chief Pilot.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1500 hours of flight experience with Commercial Pilot License, including instrument and multiengine ratings.
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Valid US passport.
  • Two-year college degree or equivalent job experience.
  • Clean FAA/DOT/DOJ records.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2500 hours of flight experience with ATP rating.
  • 500 hours of turbojet experience.
  • Experience in multi-pilot crew aircraft utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM).
  • CL-65 type rating or DA-EASY type rating.

Travel and Work Requirements:

  • Extensive domestic and some international travel.
  • Company-paid relocation to within one hour of the Elmira-Corning Regional Airport (KELM).
  • Flexible work schedule, including weekends and company holidays, dependent on Corning's flight schedule and operational requirements.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $152,414.00 - $209,570.00, assuming full-time status. The starting salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on factors such as experience, training, education, and location. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance, disability benefits, and paid time off (PTO), contingent on hours worked.
