Role Overview

The Captain will serve as the pilot-in-command for the Bombardier Challenger 605 aircraft based in Ottawa. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all flights, while also supporting daily operational activities and liaising with internal departments to meet client needs. The Captain will foster a collaborative team environment and provide direct, exceptional customer service to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Captain on the Bombardier Challenger 605 aircraft.
  • Ensure all flights are conducted in a safe manner.
  • Support daily operation activities during reserve days.
  • Liaise with Chartright’s Flight Coordination Centre and Sales to ensure operational and service requirements are met.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, encouraging the sharing of ideas, improvements, and solutions among colleagues.
  • Provide direct customer service to clients, contributing to an exceptional client experience.
  • Perform monthly training courses and other assigned duties.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) Group 1 Multi-Engine IFR.
  • Valid Transport Canada Medical Certificate.
  • Canadian Radio Telephone License.
  • Minimum of 3000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum 1000 hours PIC in a multi-engine aircraft (turbine time preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Hands-on experience with flight management systems and glass cockpits.
  • Strong understanding of aviation weather, airport performance, flight plan calculations, fuel planning, weight, and balance.
  • Expert knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and SMS safety practices.
  • A positive mindset with a strong ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships across the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional client service, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate client needs.
