Position Overview
Michelin North America is seeking an experienced Corporate Aviation Captain/Pilot to join our best-in-class aviation department. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, serving as the final authority for assigned flights. The successful candidate will support operational demands by maintaining high standards of safety, teamwork, and service excellence, directly contributing to the company’s productivity and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities

Act as Pilot in Command for scheduled domestic and international flights.

Prepare and file flight plans, managing systems, weather analysis, and NOTAMS to ensure maximum safety and efficiency.

Ensure strict compliance with all Federal, State, local, and foreign regulations, including FAA FAR Part 91 and ICAO Annexes.

Perform weight and balance calculations, performance assessments, and fuel planning.

Utilize PFM Flight Management Systems to adjust flight schedules and passenger profiles as required.

Oversee post-flight duties, including inspections, maintenance reporting, and accurate record-keeping.

Manage passenger safety briefings, cabin preparation, and service expectations.

Assist the Flight Department Manager with ancillary duties, projects, and administrative tasks.

Maintain flexibility for travel and irregular duty schedules, including the completion of periodic flight training.
Required Qualifications

FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with airplane multi-engine land and instrument ratings.

3,500 total flight hours, including at least 1,000 hours in jet-powered aircraft and 2,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) in multi-engine aircraft.

Documented experience in a multi-crew environment and Crew Resource Management (CRM).

International flight experience into Canada and Mexico.

Valid U.S. Passport with the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.

Possession of an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.

Current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, iPad applications, and mobile technology.

Demonstrated familiarity with civilian Air Traffic Control systems in high-density airspace.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

DA-2EASy type rating preferred.

The ideal candidate possesses broad expertise in aircraft operations, advanced avionics, and Safety Management System (SMS) processes, including risk analysis and accident prevention. Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to succeed within a small team environment, alongside a high level of engagement regarding business-related objectives.
