Carter Machinery seeks an experienced Pilot to serve as Pilot in Command on CL-30 missions, operating from Mechanicsville, VA. This full-time position involves ensuring the highest standards of aviation safety and professionalism while transporting passengers and executing flights in compliance with all regulations.

The Pilot will be responsible for planning and executing flights, conducting comprehensive pre-flight planning, and performing detailed aircraft inspections. This role requires exceptional crew resource management (CRM), the ability to mentor crew members, and maintain a calm, client-focused cockpit environment. The Pilot will represent Carter Machinery's values while delivering superior service to passengers and interacting with regulatory bodies. Requirements

Minimum five years of private or transport flight experience.

Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time.

Minimum 1,000 multi-engine turbine hours.

FAA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATP).

Challenger 300/350 (CL-30) type rating.

Minimum 500 hours of Challenger 300/350 experience.

Prior corporate or charter experience is preferred.

International operations experience is preferred.

Experience operating Gulfstream 600 or Citation Encore is preferred.

Must possess a current passport and have unrestricted ability to travel to the EU, Canada, and the Caribbean.

Must reside within a one-hour or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out radius of the assigned home base.

Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.

Must be able to pass a FAA/DOT pre-employment drug screen and comply with random drug/alcohol testing.

Willingness to authorize and pass an FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD) review.

Valid U.S. driver’s license with an excellent driving record.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Required Licensure: Written ATP (FAA), First-Class Medical, FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.

FAA Type Rating(s) for company aircraft.

20/20 vision (or correctable to 20/20).

Thorough understanding of Federal Aviation regulations and safety procedures.

Proficient knowledge of flight operations manuals, regulations, and standards.
