Carter Machinery is seeking a qualified Pilot to serve as Pilot in Command on CL-30 missions, operating from Mechanicsville, VA. This full-time role involves ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism in transporting passengers and planning/executing flights in compliance with all regulations.
About the Role
The Pilot will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the company's aircraft, specifically the CL-30. This includes comprehensive pre-flight planning, aircraft inspections, effective Crew Resource Management (CRM), and delivering exceptional passenger service. The role also involves interaction with regulatory bodies and staying current with aviation practices. The position requires adherence to company values and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Requirements

Minimum five years of private or transport flight experience.

Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time.

Minimum 1,000 multi-engine turbine hours.

FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) License.

Bachelor’s degree.

Challenger 300/350 (CL-30) type rating.

Minimum 500 hours of Challenger 300/350 experience.

Prior corporate or charter experience is preferred.

International operations experience is preferred.

Experience operating Gulfstream 600 or Citation Encore is preferred.

Licensure required: Written ATP (FAA), First-Class Medical, FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.

20/20 vision or correctable to 20/20.

FAA Type Rating(s) for company aircraft.

Thorough understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and safety procedures.

Proficient knowledge of flight operations manuals, regulations, and standards.

Reside or be willing to relocate within a one-hour drive of the assigned home base.

Possess a current passport and unrestricted ability to travel to the EU, Canada, and the Caribbean.

Ability to pass a FAA/DOT pre-employment drug screen and comply with random drug/alcohol testing.

Willingness to authorize the release of and successfully pass an FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD) review.

Valid U.S. driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
