CPKC is seeking an experienced and dedicated Pilot to join our Corporate Flight Department, based in Calgary, Alberta. Reporting to the Director of Flight Operations and Chief Pilot, the successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of CPKC executives.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain unwavering compliance with all aviation regulations, encompassing pilot qualifications, aircraft inspections, and maintenance protocols.
- Uphold adherence to CPKC’s policies and procedures, including the Corporate Air Transport Policy and Critical Cluster Policy.
- Provide safe, discreet, and reliable air transportation for CPKC executives, and third-party company executives as required.
- Collaborate with the Director of Flight Operations and Chief Pilot in the management and support of the Aviation team.
- Proactively identify and implement strategies to enhance the cost-effectiveness of the Aviation Department’s operations.
- Champion ongoing efforts to elevate safety standards within the Aviation Department.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Current Group 1 Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) rating.
- Valid Category 1 Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 5,000 hours total flight time.
- 3,000+ hours of multi-engine pilot-in-command experience.
- 1,000+ hours of jet aircraft experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience operating Challenger or Citation Sovereign aircraft.
- Prior corporate aviation experience is considered a strong asset.
- International flight experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, evidenced by a flawless record free of accidents or violations.
- High school diploma required; a college degree is beneficial.
- Legal authorization to live and work in Canada.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively.
- Eligibility to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) or applicable airport security clearance.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight trips, both domestically and internationally.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts to accommodate flight schedules.
- Professionalism and comfort interacting with senior executives.
