T-44A/C Aircraft Systems Instructor
An experienced aviation professional is sought to provide T-44A/C aircraft systems and operational procedures instruction. This individual will deliver classroom, simulator, and practical environment training. The Instructor will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), contributing to courseware review and other administrative or collateral duties as assigned by the Program or Site Manager. These duties may include publications, safety, quality audits, FCIF, and scheduling.
Responsibilities:
- Delivers pilot procedures instruction in classroom and simulator environments.
- Assists with the development and updates of training devices.
- Contributes as a Subject Matter Expert in the development of curriculum for new courses and the review/revision of existing lessons.
- Provides suggestions to improve and update training policies and procedures.
- Promotes a positive attitude towards learning and adopting new technologies and tasks.
- Performs diagnosis and remediation of student performance issues.
- Assists in project and development work as assigned.
- Executes administrative duties such as student record keeping, monitoring student progress, counseling, quality assurance, safety, and security.
- Maintains proficiency in operation of Aircrew Training Devices.
- Maintains physical ability to enter simulator and ensures student safety on board the simulator.
- Acquires and maintains proficiency in all areas of instruction to pass standardization checks and classroom evaluations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning is required.
- Prior military pilot experience or possession of an FAA flight instructor certificate with Airplane Multi-Engine and Instrument-Airplane ratings is essential.
- A minimum of 1,000 hours of flight time is required.
- Must possess comprehensive knowledge of DoD rules and regulations governing aircraft operations and the use of DoD forms and documents for aircraft instrument flight operations.
- Graduate of a military instruction course, or equivalent (meeting Navy’s Instructor Training Course, A-012-0077 standard), as approved by Government.
- Working knowledge of each phase of NATRACOM flight training and courseware curricula utilized in the ICW classroom.
- Working knowledge of administrator functions associated with courseware presentation programs outlined in the ICW/EC Training System Utilization Handbook.
- Demonstrated ability to induct new students, purge old students, generate performance reports, and address queries regarding student progress and performance.
- Strong facilitation and data analysis skills are required.
- Ability to participate in periodic aircraft familiarization flights.
- Must acquire and maintain proficiency in emergency procedures.
- Exceptional ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
- Ability to generate effective oral and written presentations and proposals on complex subjects.
- Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts, including prices, commissions, and percentages, and in drawing and interpreting graphs.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
- Must be willing to work any shift or day of the week as required.
- Must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required level of security clearance, and applicant will be subject to a US Government investigation.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This role operates in office, classroom, and simulator environments, utilizing standard office equipment. The position requires the ability to work in a complex military training environment, communicating and submitting required actions and reports via company, government, and personal computer devices, plus current telephone and fax devices. The work environment may involve exposure to electrical shock, moving mechanical parts driven by hydraulics under high pressure, extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises. The employee must be able to stand and conduct academic instruction in simulators and classrooms, walk and/or climb stairs and ladders into a simulator or airplane cockpit, and stoop, bend, and crawl on top of or under machinery. The ability to detect odors and hear noises to identify problems or flaws in simulator functioning is also necessary.
