Instructor Pilot - Las Vegas, NV
CAE, a global leader in modelling, simulation and training for civil aviation, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Instructor Pilot to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver flight training in a flight simulator and ground school, adhering to regulatory agency guidelines, CAE-approved curriculum, and client requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME), leading clients through their training programs.
- After 1.5 years, qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman (subject to business needs).
- Provide simulator/flight or classroom instruction on assigned aircraft types for the issuance of licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
- Conduct thorough and professional pre- and post-flight simulator briefings in accordance with CAE standards.
- Fulfill administrative duties including completing training records, recommending remedial training, and tracking instructional qualifications and activity.
- Act as an SME in the creation of curricula and courseware as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or college degree preferred; High School diploma or state-issued equivalent required.
- 2-5 years of relevant job experience.
- Previous experience teaching or training others preferred.
- Demonstrated proven experience with a customer service orientation.
- Authorization to live and work in the United States.
- Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs.
- Ability to participate in CAE’s DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Existing instructor qualification or type rating preferred.
- Hold or have held a professional pilot's license.
- Preferred: FAR Part 135 experience, 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- Preferred: Possess an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating.
Internal Candidates:
Ideal internal candidates are currently in good standing and TCE qualified on the G450/550 or an existing TCE on another platform. CAE IPs with interest should apply for further consideration and discussion.
Training & Relocation:
- Training may include international travel and extended stays.
- Relocation assistance is provided if local candidates are not found.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical dexterity required for tasks involving hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Ability to sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours at a time with limited breaks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) with limited breaks.
- Ability to sit, stoop, climb, and twist and turn.
