Instructor Pilot - Las Vegas, Nevada
CAE, a global leader in civil aviation training, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instructor Pilot to join its team in Las Vegas. This position offers the opportunity to transition from the cockpit to the classroom, sharing your expertise and mentoring future pilots.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver flight training in a flight simulator and ground school, adhering to regulatory agency requirements, CAE's approved curriculum, and customer specifications.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) leading clients through their training.
- After 1.5+ years, qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman (subject to business needs).
- Provide simulator/flight or classroom instruction on assigned aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
- Conduct thorough and professional pre and post flight simulator briefings in accordance with CAE standards.
- Perform administrative duties such as completing training records, recommending remedial training, tracking instructional qualifications and activity.
- Contribute to the creation of curricula and courseware as an SME when required.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or college degree preferred; High School diploma or state issued equivalent required.
- 2-5 years of relevant aviation experience.
- Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
- Proven customer service orientation.
- Authorization to live and work in the United States.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.
- Ability to participate in CAE's DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Existing instructor qualification or type rating preferred.
- Holds or has held a professional pilot's license.
- Preferred: FAR Part 135 experience, 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- Preferred: Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and at least one unrestricted PIC type rating.
Ideal Internal Candidates:
Current CAE IPs in good standing with TCE qualifications on the G450/550 or an existing TCE on another platform are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements:
- Physical dexterity required for tasks involving hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills.

- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) with limited breaks.
- Ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn.
