Role and Responsibilities
Summary
The C-12 Deputy Chief Pilot will work directly for the Chief Pilot and Director of Training and will be the scheduling and training lead for the C-12 Branch of the Fixed Wing Training Program. The selected individual will be tasked to execute the C-12 portion of the flight training contract. This will include scheduling, simulator training, classroom training, and evaluations IAW pertinent USA regulations, and FAA requirements. The Deputy Chief will assist as a Subject Matter Expert in the development of curriculum for new type courses. May provide additional special services such as courseware review and other additional administrative duties such as publications, safety, quality audits, scheduling, and other duties as assigned. The selected individual will ensure a safe and secure work environment is maintained.

+ Provide scheduling of C-12 Instructor pilots to meet training requirements of live flight, simulator and classroom instruction.
+ Coordinate with Government QA evaluators for end of stage and end of course evaluations.
Coordinate with Government QA evaluators for contractor annual evaluations.
Provide daily government flight approval documentation IAW AR 95-20.
+ Assures compliance with applicable standards (i.e. USAF, AR 95-20, AR 95-1 and FAA Part 141 Formal School requirements).
+ Actively participates in the Quality Management System, quality procedures and safety programs with those respective leads in the same organization.
+ Keeps current with changes and modifications to external standards.
+ Identifies and implements strategies for compliance.
+ Coordinates examiner activities across the program to ensure that adequate support is provided.
+ Interfaces with appropriate members of the program, customer, and CAE USA staff to proactively identify and address quality assurance issues and ensure that all quality requirements are met.
+ Interfaces with various departments, management, and staff to identify and execute process improvement opportunities.
+ Conducts business in strict compliance with all corporate policies and procedures and applicable state and federal regulations.
+ Establishes and presents metrics to measure process performance levels and the impact of process improvements initiatives.
+ Uses advanced statistical methodology to identify improvement opportunities, gaps or redundancies and effect change.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
+ Eight years total flying experience, five years military experience, with at least two years in U. S. Army Fixed Wing C-12 aircraft as Instructor Pilot
+ Training management experience
+ Recent experience as a Fixed Wing Instructor Pilot or Standardization Pilot within the past two years.
+ Completion of a formal U. S. Military Instructor training course
+ Must hold or readily can obtain a FAA Certified Flight Instructor multi-engine and Instrument Instructor rating with the associated Commercial Pilot ratings
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred
+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
+ Must be able to effectively deliver oral presentations to students in a classroom or simulator environment.
+ Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
+ Must be able to work overtime as required.
+ Must be willing to work any shift or day of the week as required.
+ Understanding of military protocols and customs is essential.
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
+ Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Work Environment and Physical demands
+ Work in a regular office environment; communicate via personal computer, telephone and fax.
+ Will be working in areas with risk of electrical shock from moving mechanical parts driven by hydraulics under high pressure.
+ Will at times be exposed to the following conditions: flight line.
+ Domestic and international travel as required.
+ Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladder into a simulator or airplane cockpit.
+ Must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl on top of or under machinery.
+ Must be able to detect odors or hear noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect problems or flaws in the functioning of simulators and its surrounding environment.
