Requirements
Basic Entry Application Requirements (All Applicants)
All prospective flight crew members must satisfy the following fundamental application criteria:
- Academic Qualifications:
- A School Certificate with a minimum Grade B in both Mathematics and Physics, OR
- A Final Secondary Education Certificate demonstrating proficiency in Mathematics and Physics, OR
- A Degree in a scientific field.
- Medical: Possession of a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate. The Airline reserves the right to decline medical certificates presenting specific restrictions.
- License: A valid ICAO license or an equivalent license, acceptable to the Airline's Department of Civil Aviation.
- Minimum Age: Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
- Nationality and Character Clearance:
- A valid passport.
- A valid Certificate of Character or Police Clearance Certificate issued by the country of residence.
- Language Proficiency: Demonstrated English Language proficiency at ICAO Level 5 or higher.
Note: Applicants who meet these basic requirements must ensure their license and medical certificates remain valid throughout the entire selection process.
Direct Entry First Officer Jet Specific Requirements
In addition to the general basic requirements, candidates for the Direct Entry First Officer position must also fulfill the following specialized criteria:
- License Requirement: A valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a current Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (ME-IR) (ICAO or equivalent).
- Total Flight Hours: A minimum of 1500 hours flown on EASA PART 25 Aircraft.
- Current Jet Type-Rating: A minimum of 500 hours on EASA PART 25 aircraft, specifically on a current type-rating.
- Recent Flight Experience: A minimum of 150 hours on type within the last 12 months.
- Maximum Age: Must not exceed 55 years of age at the closing date of the External Vacancy Notice (EVN).
Terms and Conditions
This long-term contract offers a comprehensive remuneration package and supportive working conditions:
- Contract Duration: Long-term (up to 10 years).
- Training Bond: A 4-year training bond is applicable.
- Remuneration: Up to USD 4500 per month (average, paid in local currency).
- Payment During Training: An average of USD 3500 per month during the training period.
- Common Contract Allowance: An average of USD 650 per month.
- Overtime: Hours flown beyond 80.5 per calendar month are compensated at 1.5 times the standard hourly rate.
- Fixed Flight Duty Allowance (FDA): An average of USD 325 per month.
- Tiered FDA for Additional Flight Hours:
- Up to 50 hours: An average of USD 15.
- From 50 to 75 hours: An average of USD 25.
- Above 75 hours: An average of USD 30.
- Transport Allowance: An average of USD 83 per month.
- End-of-Year Bonus: Equivalent to a 13th-month salary.
- Income Tax: The pilot is solely responsible for their income tax obligations.
