Boeing Defence Australia seeks a highly skilled CH-47F Qualified Flight Instructor (QFI) for a permanent position based in Townsville, commencing January 2025. (Job Reference: BOE/1813751)

This pivotal role within the School of Army Aviation Chinook Wing offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the training and development of Australian Defence Force personnel. The successful candidate will provide expert instruction across a range of CH-47F platforms, fostering a safe and productive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive CH-47F airborne, synthetic, and ground instruction.
• Conduct CH-47F general flying operations in accordance with established safety protocols.
• Undertake related flying, instructional, and administrative tasks.
• Maintain currency and qualifications as mandated by Army Aviation Command.
• Cultivate a safe and efficient work environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• CH-47F QFI Category C
• CH-47F NVIS Command proficiency
• Group 4 Instrument Rating
• Current CASA CPL-H (or higher)
• Current Class 1 Medical Certificate
• Current CASA ASIC
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance (Negative Vetting 1)

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

• CH-47F QFI Category B/A
• Group 4 Instrument Rating Assessor qualification
• CH-47F TFPS Instructor Operator Simulator experience
• CH-47F Maintenance Pilot qualification
• Simulator Reference Pilot experience

Physical Requirements:

Specific physical requirements will be detailed by the recruitment manager in consultation with the Environment, Health & Safety Department. A formal assessment will be conducted for this role.

Eligibility:

Australian Citizenship is mandatory to meet Defence security requirements.
