B737 Simulator Instructor - Perth, Western Australia
CAE, the global leader in aviation training, is seeking a dedicated and experienced B737 Simulator Instructor to join our team in Perth, Western Australia on a full-time or part-time contract basis.
About the Role:
As a B737 Simulator Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality training that meets the stringent standards of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). You will be responsible for all training activities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and training quality are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct training duties in accordance with the Flight Simulator Instructor (FSI) job description and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Recommend revisions to SOPs as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive courseware and training materials, including theoretical examinations, adhering to CASA requirements.
- Monitor the progress of trainees, develop action plans for those requiring additional support, and promote continuous improvement in training processes, documentation, courseware, and materials.
- Participate in Progress, Academic, and Disciplinary Review Boards, providing recommendations for remedial action regarding training progress or trainee disciplinary issues.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Lead Instructor or Head of Training (HOT).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1,000 hours pilot-in-command (PIC) experience on a multi-crew jet transport aircraft.
- Hold a valid Simulator Instructor qualification, or equivalent rating or certification (CASA preferred).
- Previous experience in airline or ATO training is highly desirable.
- Hold a CASA ATPL/CPL with a minimum ICAO English level 5.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of AQP/EBT/CBTA/IEC.
- Thorough understanding of CASA regulations governing civil aviation training.
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a work visa with unlimited working rights (or the ability to attain such).
- Motivated and disciplined individual with initiative, capable of delivering results on time and motivating others in a remote working environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Proven leadership skills and a successful track record of working effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Basic IT skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Working Conditions:
- Work environments include offices, classrooms, and Full-Flight Simulators (FFSDs).
- Required to work outside of office hours to conduct FSTD training or other assigned duties.
- Training duty rosters will be planned in accordance with the Training and Procedures Manual requirements for Instructors.
- Subject to critical deadlines.
