BA Euroflyer is seeking a motivated Direct Entry Captain to join its flight operations team based at London Gatwick. Position Overview

As a Direct Entry Captain, the successful candidate will operate out of London Gatwick within a dynamic, close-knit team. The role provides flexibility through a fixed pattern roster, allowing for daily returns to base, alongside a bidding and swap system that enables pilots to tailor their schedules to personal requirements.

  • Starting salary of £114,000 (subject to 2026 pay review) plus approximately £25,150 in allowances (based on 800 flying hours per year).

Candidate Requirements

  • Possession of a UK-issued CAA ATPL (A), fATPL (A), or MPL. Candidates holding an EASA licence must meet UK CAA conversion routes 3, 4, 5, or 6.
  • 3,000 hours total flying time on an aircraft type that satisfies Zero Flight Time Training (ZFTT), with relevant flight experience on this type within the last six months.
  • 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC), with active operation as PIC within the last six months.
  • Legal right to live and work in the UK or the ability to hold a Right to Work visa.
  • ICAO English Level 6 proficiency, a valid passport, and a valid Class 1 medical certificate.

Application Policies

  • Reapplication periods: 6 months for unsuccessful candidates at initial stages; 12 months for those unsuccessful at the simulator stage.
  • Candidates may apply to only one BA Group airline at a time.
  • Hold pool candidates are eligible to receive up to two job offers.
