First Officer Position - Boeing B787 - EVA Air
EVA Air is seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Officer to join our team based in Taiwan. This is a four-year renewable contract offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will operate Boeing B787 aircraft and participate in a commuting program.
Requirements:
- Flight Hours: Applicants must possess either 2000+ total flight hours, including 500+ hours on multi-engine, multi-crew jet aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) exceeding 20 tons; or 1500+ total flight hours, including 1000+ hours on multi-engine, multi-crew jet aircraft with an MTOW exceeding 20 tons. Additionally, 400+ hours of civil aviation co-pilot experience are required. Five years of employment references from the civil aviation industry are necessary for non-bachelor degree holders; two years are required for those holding a bachelor's degree or higher.
- Age: No age restrictions apply.
- Language Proficiency: ICAO Level 4 English language proficiency or higher is mandatory.
- Nationality: No nationality restrictions apply.
- Licenses and Certifications: A valid ICAO ATPL, JAA ATPL(A), or FAA ATPL with a first-class medical certificate is required. The license must show no limitations.
- Type Rating: A type rating is not required.
- Medical Certificate: A Class A or Class One medical certificate is required.
- Other Requirements: Candidates must have a clear record, free of flight incidents, accidents, and criminal history. Upon commencing employment, candidates must possess a US visitor's visa, a C1D visa, or be a US visa-free citizen.
Compensation and Benefits:
The annual salary package ranges from NT$2,724,000 to NT$2,760,000 per year (based on 75 flight hours), inclusive of bonuses and per diem. Monthly salary during the training period ranges from NT$157,500 to NT$159,500, increasing to NT$227,000 to NT$230,000 upon completion of training. Specific flight hours and hourly rates are available upon request.
Time Off and Leave:
Employees receive 8 days off per month (non-commuting contract) or a minimum of 116-117 days off per year, including block days off and scheduled days off (commuting contract). Annual leave begins at 22 days per year, increasing with seniority to a maximum of 42 days. Thirty days of paid sick leave are provided annually.

Taxation and Other Information:
Taxation is in accordance with R.O.C. tax law (13-21%, depending on dependents and pay). Pension benefits are subject to the R.O.C. Labor Standard Law. A six-month probationary period commences after the first operational flight. Annual salary increments are at the discretion of the airline, subject to satisfactory performance and the airline's financial stability. The terms outlined above are subject to final agreement.
