The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), the world's largest airline pilot union and a leading non-governmental aviation safety organization representing over 79,000 pilots at 42 U.S. and Canadian airlines, seeks an experienced Training & Human Performance Coordinator for its Tysons (McLean), Virginia office.
As a key contributor within the Engineering & Air Safety (E&AS) department, the Training & Human Performance Coordinator serves as the primary staff focal point for policy areas related to Training and Human Performance. This role provides expert knowledge and support, coordinating activities encompassing human performance, training, human factors, and other assigned areas. The coordinator also facilitates liaison between the Association and various government, industry, trade, and professional organizations relevant to these disciplines. Key functions include participation in activities associated with the development and harmonization of regulatory standards worldwide. The position requires close collaboration with the ALPA Air Safety Organization (ASO) and its constituent groups, as well as other technical groups and Master Executive Councils (MECs) within the ALPA structure. Responsibilities include, on a rotational basis, answering calls to the ALPA Worldwide Accident Hotline and the Pilot Peer Support line, including outside business hours, weekends, and holidays.
Travel of up to 20% is anticipated, with sporadic periods of local and national travel potentially reaching as much as 25% of the time.
ALPA offers competitive salaries with attractive benefits. The projected annual salary range for this position is $96,027.00 – $137,179.00.
