Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew Specialist acts as a crucial ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image at all times. This role is fundamental in enhancing the overall passenger experience by providing outstanding customer service while strictly ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the complete flight cycle. The incumbent must maintain the highest standards of readiness and fitness to operate, ensuring productivity aligns precisely with established company policies and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities (KRAs)
Operational Readiness and Conduct
- Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming, physical fitness, and adherence to all legal requirements prior to assigned flights.
- Participates actively in the flight briefing to confirm acknowledgment of flight specifics, role distribution, security protocols, and operational targets.
Safety and Security Management
- Instructs passengers comprehensively on safety procedures, prioritizing passenger security and comfort throughout the flight.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement immediate remedial action in full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers essential first aid to passengers whenever necessary.
- Promptly reports any irregularities, malfunctions, or discrepancies to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate.
Exceptional Customer Experience
- Welcomes passengers upon boarding and efficiently assists with boarding formalities; accurately records necessary operational data into the aircraft log book as mandated by Air Arabia and regulatory GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service by attentively managing individual pre-bookings, requests, and passenger needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers who may be experiencing distress or difficulty, strictly adhering to the corresponding policies detailed in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
In-flight Revenue Generation and Reporting
- Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program through the effective promotion of in-flight meals, retail products, and charity services, thereby meeting individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper, accurate, and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations.
- Carries out rigorous pre-flight checks to verify the sufficient provision of supplies, emergency equipment, catering materials, and all specified equipment prior to take-off; reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as necessary.
- Assists in maintaining the thorough cleanliness of the aircraft cabin during transit stops and confirms adequate re-catering and duty-free restocking before subsequent flights.
- Manages the orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to or from catering, cleaning, or maintenance staff.
- Conducts the post-flight briefing and completes assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, including objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight discrepancies, and closing and sealing duty-free containers.
- Accountable to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of all passengers; assumes the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when officially designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional competence and safety knowledge by attending mandatory recurrent trainings, emergency procedures workshops, and ensuring the validity of all required licenses.
- Contributes actively to team success by achieving allocated sales objectives and accomplishing related performance results.
Candidate Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Between 21 and 29 years for non-experienced crew, with a maximum age of 33 years for experienced crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for female candidates, and 170 cm for male candidates.
- Weight: Must be proportional to the candidate's age and height.
- Appearance: Clear skin is required, with no marks or tattoos that would be visible while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Fitness: Must be medically and physically fit to perform all assigned Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming: Demonstrated ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Academic Qualifications and Languages
- Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the minimum academic requirement; a diploma in Travel or Tourism is highly advantageous.
- Certifications: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures provides an added value to the application.
- Health Status: Candidates must be fit to fly, possessing good general health without serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected.
- Language: Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory.
Work Experience and Environment Capabilities
- Fresh graduates who meet the eligibility criteria are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Prior work experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality Industries is considered a significant advantage.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is highly preferred.
- The candidate must be capable of working demanding shift patterns and extended working hours when required.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability in response to frequent schedule changes and busy operational requirements.
- Must exhibit the proven ability to contribute positively and successfully deliver performance against set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), policies, and procedures.
