Job Purpose: Cabin Crew

The Cabin Crew member acts as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. This role is paramount in enhancing the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service, ensuring passenger safety, and maintaining comfort throughout the flight. The Cabin Crew is expected to be ready and fit for duty, operating productively in alignment with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct

  • Ensures punctual attendance, immaculate grooming, and fitness for duty for all assigned flights. Participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.

Safety Measures

  • Instructs passengers on essential safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administers first aid to passengers as required.
  • Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.

Customer Service

  • Welcomes passengers, assists with boarding formalities, and accurately enters necessary data into the aircraft logbook according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA regulations.
  • Delivers consistent, excellent customer service by addressing individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
  • Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to policies outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
  • Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting in-flight meals, products, and charity services, working towards individual and team targets.
  • Ensures the secure and accurate handling of cash and credit card payments for sales and donations managed by the crew member.

Crosschecking and Reports

  • Conducts pre-flight checks to verify the availability of sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering items, and other specified equipment before departure, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
  • Assists in ensuring thorough cabin cleaning at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before flights.
  • Manages the orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
  • Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per established policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations, reporting flight discrepancies, and handling the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
  • Reports to the Cabin Supervisor regarding passenger conduct and assumes the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
  • Maintains necessary professional knowledge and safety competence by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, ensuring the currency of licenses.
  • Contributes to team objectives by achieving allocated sales targets and operational goals.

Important Requirements

  • Age: Between 21 to 29 years for non-experienced candidates; maximum 33 years for experienced candidates.
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
  • Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
  • Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Medical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
  • Swimming Ability: Proficient in swimming with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a distinct advantage.
  • Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered an added value.
  • Must be medically fit to fly, possessing good general health without serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English is mandatory.

Work Experience

  • Fresh graduates are actively encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries will be considered an advantage.
  • An active cabin crew license is beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a shift pattern, including extended working hours.
  • Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
  • Proven ability to contribute to and successfully achieve set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), policies, and procedures.
