Role Overview and Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew professional functions as a dedicated brand ambassador for Air Arabia, striving consistently to achieve high levels of customer loyalty and project a positive corporate image. The role is pivotal in enhancing the overall customer experience by providing world-class service while ensuring the ultimate safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the complete flight cycle. The successful candidate must maintain exceptional operational readiness and fitness, ensuring productivity aligns seamlessly with organizational policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities
Operational Conduct and Readiness
- Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming, physical fitness, and legal readiness for all assigned flights.
- Attends mandatory pre-flight briefings to assimilate crucial flight details, review security checks, receive role assignments, and understand specific boarding procedures and sales targets.
- Carries out meticulous pre-flight checks, verifying sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified equipment prior to take-off. Reports any deficiencies promptly to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
Safety and Emergency Measures
- Provides clear and comprehensive instruction to passengers regarding essential safety procedures, prioritizing their security and well-being at all times.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement immediate remedial action in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers essential first aid to passengers as required.
- Informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any procedural irregularities or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Maintains professional competitiveness and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures workshops, and ensuring the current validity of necessary licenses.
Customer Service and Revenue Generation
- Provides a warm welcome to passengers and assists efficiently with boarding formalities; accurately enters necessary data into the aircraft log book compliant with Air Arabia and regulatory GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and specific passenger needs.
- Identifies and offers compassionate assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to protocols detailed in the Operations Manual.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and supports the “Charity Cloud” program by efficiently promoting on-board products, meals, and charity services to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling, reconciliation, and accountability of all cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations.
Compliance and Reporting
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and verifies the adequate provision of re-catering items and duty-free products prior to subsequent flight sectors.
- Manages the orderly and complete handover and takeover of the cabin environment to and from catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
- Conducts the post-flight briefing and completes accurate assessment reports as per adopted policies, including providing an objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight discrepancies, and securing/sealing duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of all passengers and is prepared to assume the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when officially designated by the Captain.
- Contributes collectively to team effort by achieving related results and meeting allocated sales targets and operational objectives.
Essential Candidate Requirements
Physical and Logistical Requirements
- Age: Must be between 21 and 29 years for non-experienced crew, or a maximum of 33 years for experienced crew.
- Height: Minimum 160 cm (Female) or 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in healthy proportion to age and height.
- Appearance: Possesses clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the standard Cabin Crew uniform.
- Health: Must be medically and physically fit to perform all required Cabin Crew duties, possessing good general health with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Swimming: Must demonstrate the ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
- Work Ethic: Must be capable of working in shift patterns, extended working hours, and demonstrate high flexibility and adaptability in response to frequent schedule changes and busy operational periods.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the minimum acceptable qualification. A diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered an advantage.
- Training: Formal training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
- Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Experience: Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Previous experience in Cabin Crew, Customer Service, or within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries constitutes a significant added value.
- Licensing: Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is a distinct advantage.
- Performance: Must demonstrate the ability to successfully contribute toward and deliver against established policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
