Cabin Crew
Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as a brand ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to enhancing the overall passenger experience and fostering customer loyalty. This role is pivotal in delivering excellent customer service while ensuring the highest standards of safety and comfort are maintained throughout the entire flight cycle. The ideal candidate will be consistently prepared and fit for operations, upholding all company policies, procedures, and productivity measures to promote a positive corporate image.
Key Responsibilities
Professional Conduct and Preparedness
- Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming, and personal fitness for all assigned flights in accordance with legality requirements.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, assigned roles, service targets, and essential security checks.
Safety and Security
- Provides clear and concise safety instructions to all passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort from boarding to arrival.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Reports any irregularities, malfunctions, or safety concerns promptly to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain.
Customer Service and On-board Experience
- Welcomes passengers and provides assistance during boarding, ensuring all necessary data is recorded in the aircraft logbook.
- Delivers exceptional customer service by attentively addressing individual passenger requests, pre-booked services, and unique needs.
- Identifies and supports passengers experiencing stress or difficulty, adhering to the policies detailed in the Operations Manual.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue by professionally promoting meals, retail products, and the "Charity Cloud" program to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Manages the secure handling of all cash and credit card transactions for on-board sales and donations.
Operational Duties and Reporting
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify the availability of emergency equipment, catering, and other necessary supplies, reporting any deficiencies.
- Ensures the aircraft cabin is clean at transit stops and adequately restocked with catering and duty-free items.
- Manages the orderly handover of the cabin to catering, cleaning, or maintenance staff as required.
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations and documenting any flight discrepancies.
- Maintains continuous professional development by attending recurrent training, emergency procedure courses, and educational workshops to ensure all licenses remain current.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Age: Between 20 and 30 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight must be in proportion to age and height.
- Must have clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while in uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties, with the ability to swim using a flotation device.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A qualification in Travel or Tourism is advantageous.
- Formal training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly desirable.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Arabic.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
Work Experience and Attributes
- Fresh graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as a cabin crew member or in a customer service role within the aviation or hospitality industry is a significant advantage.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is beneficial.
- Capable of working in demanding shift patterns with extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and a dynamic work schedule.
- Proven ability to contribute to team goals and successfully deliver results in line with company policies and key performance indicators (KPIs).
