Learjet Pilot - Tactical Military Flying
QinetiQ seeks experienced pilots with a background in tactical military flying for upcoming opportunities supporting the Australian Defence Force within our Learjet operations. This role is ideal for individuals driven by purpose, passionate about solving complex problems, and ready to make a significant impact.
As part of a multi-crew environment, the successful candidate will provide essential training support to the Australian Defence Force through target towing and tactical flight missions, contributing to the Joint Adversarial Training and Testing Services (JATTS) program. This position is based at our Nowra site.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide training support to the Australian Defence Force.
- Conduct target towing and tactical flight missions.
- Operate within a multi-crew environment.
- Utilize significant knowledge of tactical military flying.
Candidate Requirements
- Current Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
- Minimum of 500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) experience.
- Demonstrated experience in tactical and low-level flying within a military environment.
- Possession of, or eligibility for, a Defence Security Clearance to NV1 (current, re-activatable).
- Current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Experience with current or recent fighter aircraft such as the F-18, F-18 Super Hornet, F-35, F111, Typhoon, F-16, Tornado, Hawk, or similar.
Additional Considerations
- A current Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) certificate is required if an ATPL is not held.
- A current Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC) is required.
- An Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) is required.
