About the Role

Air Link is seeking an experienced aviation leader to assume the role of Head of Flying Operations at their Bankstown, Australia base. This senior position will oversee a diverse range of operations, including scheduled passenger flights, charter services, and aeromedical operations across multiple bases. The successful candidate will lead a team of pilots and operations personnel, champion a strong safety culture, and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements. The organisation operates a substantial fleet of 60 aircraft across 10 bases.

Requirements

• Eligibility for CASA approval as Head of Flying Operations.
• Australian Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
• Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating with a minimum of 5 renewals.
• A minimum of 3000 hours total flight time.
• A minimum of 2000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
• A minimum of 500 hours as Night PIC.
• A minimum of 1500 hours of Jet experience.
• Possession of, or eligibility for, an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
• A valid Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate.
• Demonstrated experience in senior flying operations management or supervisory roles.
• Previous operational experience with both Jet and turbo-prop aircraft.
• Comprehensive understanding of Australian aviation legislation.
• Knowledge of CASR 1998 Parts 119, 135, and 121.
• Proven experience in flight crew performance management.
• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
• A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Australian working rights.
• Willingness and ability to travel between operational bases.
