Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures is seeking individuals for a two-year Seaplane Pilot Traineeship operating Cessna 208 (C208) aircraft from Broome, Western Australia. This program commences in February 2027, with initial training in the Whitsundays, followed by relocation to Broome. The company will facilitate a floatplane endorsement and provide integrated cockpick unit supervision (ICUS) upon reaching 100 hours.
About the Role

Operate Cessna 208 Caravan seaplanes in a single-pilot capacity within the Kimberley region.

As Pilot in Command, ensure the safe operation of the aircraft and all occupants, adhering to company procedures, manuals, and directives.

This position demands sound independent decision-making, effective situation assessment, a high degree of safety awareness, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team to deliver safe and memorable guest experiences.
Requirements

Possession of a CASA Part 61 Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).

Hold a CASA Class 1 Medical certificate.

Current aeroplane flight review.

Minimum of 1,000 hours total flight time.

Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Valid right to work in Australia.

Required ratings and endorsements include:

Single-engine aeroplane class rating.

Cessna 208 rating.

Retractable undercarriage design feature endorsement.

Gas turbine design feature endorsement.

Manual propeller pitch control design feature endorsement.

Zero floatplane time is required at the commencement of the traineeship.

50 hours on the C208 aircraft is highly desirable.
