WASS Pilot - Rotary Wing - Overseas Conus (OCONUS)
AAR, a global leader in aerospace solutions, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Rotary Wing Pilot for its Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program. This pivotal role supports the U.S. Department of State's INL/A program through worldwide operations, often in challenging and austere environments. The successful candidate will be a key member of a professional flight crew, contributing to the safe and efficient execution of critical missions.
Role Overview:
The Pilot will serve as a rated crew member, fulfilling all Pilot-in-Command duties in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting single and multi-ship operations, encompassing day, night, and Night Vision Goggle (NVG) missions primarily under Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC).
- Maintaining currency in NVG operations and instrument proficiency.
- Strict adherence to INL/A Program Directives (PDs), Aircrew Training Manuals (ATMs), and all applicable Air Traffic Regulations (ATRs).
- Comprehensive pre-flight aircraft inspections and preparation, including weight and balance calculations.
- Ensuring the safe and secure loading and distribution of cargo and passengers.
- Accurate maintenance of flight logs, manifests, and discrepancy reports.
- Effective crew supervision, including briefing passengers and assigning tasks while retaining ultimate responsibility for flight safety.
- Occasional travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) as required.
- Performing other aviation duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Commercial and Instrument Airman's Certificate (Rotorcraft), or equivalent foreign license.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit, or equivalent foreign certification.
- Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate, or equivalent foreign medical certificate.
- Minimum 1500 total rotary wing flight hours, including 500 hours of turbine engine time.
- NVG qualified with a minimum of 300 hours of NVG flight experience.
- Qualification in the applicable aircraft (H-60 or equivalent).
- U.S. Military Personnel Record Transfer (MRPT) clearance is required.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive physical screening.
- Valid passport with a minimum of 18 months validity remaining.
- Level 2 Spanish language proficiency may be required (dependent upon assignment).
