Mandatory Professional Requirements
The following requirements are non-negotiable, and candidates must demonstrate compliance in their application:
- Licensing: The applicant must hold a current UK CAA issued Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
- Medical Certification: An unrestricted Class 1 Medical Certificate must be maintained.
- Total Flying Time: A minimum of 2,500 total flying hours is required.
- English Language Proficiency (ELP): ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher.
- Type Rating: A specific type rating is not required for application, as full training will be provided by 247 Aviation.
- Driving Licence: Possession of a valid, full, and clean driving licence is mandatory.
Operational and Logistical Requirements
Due to the nature of the operation and critical response times, strict logistical requirements apply:
- Residency: The candidate must be resident within 60 minutes' travel time of Belfast International Airport (BFS).
- Work Authorization: Candidates must have unrestricted rights to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.
- Travel Eligibility: The candidate must possess the unrestricted ability to obtain any necessary visas or work permits required for international travel during duty assignments.
- Security Clearance: A mandatory criminal record check will be required to comply with airport security regulations.
Highly Desirable Attributes (Preferred Experience)
Candidates possessing the following experience will be highly prioritized:
- Experience Benchmark: A minimum of 3,500 total flying hours.
- Command Time: At least 1,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC).
- Multi-Pilot Operations: A minimum of 500 hours flown in multi-pilot environments.
- Aircraft Specific Experience: Prior experience operating turboprop aircraft, particularly the Pilatus PC-12, or jet experience (e.g., Learjet 45).
- Specialized Operations: Previous professional experience in medical transport, Air Ambulance, or fixed-wing Aeromedical Emergency Services (AEMS) operations.
