Second in Command Pilot

This role is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft as Second in Command, under the direction of a Captain or aircraft Commander, and if applicable, the First Officer, during both routine and non-routine circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

The Second in Command Pilot will provide consistent support to the Captain, promoting safe and efficient flight operations. They will serve as a brand representative for the airline, upholding high standards of personal discipline, conduct, and presentation while on duty. The individual will also demonstrate a commitment to the care and welfare of both crew and passengers. Furthermore, the Second in Command Pilot will assist the commander in aircraft fueling, baggage/cargo loading, and maintenance as appropriate. They are accountable for the proper execution of duties as defined by the flydubai Operations Manuals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma.
  • Licenses:
    • ICAO 1st Class Medical Certificate.
    • CPL/IR with MCC for Frozen ATPL.
  • Certifications:
    • GCAA Air-law examination (required for foreign license holders).
    • ELP level 4 or higher.
    • Proof of completion or exemption from Military Service (preferred).
  • Languages: Fluency in both English and Arabic.

Experience:

  • Professional Experience:
    • 225 hours of flight time (for candidates aged 20-34).
    • 1,000 hours of flight time (for candidates aged 35-50).

ISR Requirements:

The Second in Command Pilot is expected to adhere to and uphold all company ISR policies, promptly reporting any security weaknesses or incidents to the appropriate Line Manager or Information Security team. They will also complete mandatory ISR awareness sessions and follow the related guidelines in daily operational activities.
