Purpose of Position:
The SIC is integral to providing a superior air transportation experience with an unwavering commitment to safety on every flight. The SIC will embody the flyADVANCED brand, delivering not only safe and technically accurate transportation but also an exceptional service experience for every Owner and passenger. This role demands versatility, embodying the spirit of a concierge service provider, seamlessly transitioning between professional aviator and in-flight service provider. The SIC will maintain a professional demeanor at all times, operating under the command of the Captain.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Captain in the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, take-off, and landing, adhering to FAA guidelines, OEM Checklists, flyADVANCED Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Greet Owners/passengers pre-flight, providing introductions, flight/trip briefings, itinerary verification, weather updates, safety briefings, and explanations of any itinerary changes.
- Collaborate with the Captain to brief on normal and emergency procedures.
- Maintain a current understanding of general subjects and aircraft-related information to enhance competency, ability, and professionalism.
- Actively contribute to on-time departures.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle flights with pets and passengers who smoke.
- Act as a liaison for Owners/passengers from their arrival at the FBO to their safe departure from the final FBO.
- Effectively communicate any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the aircraft Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller on duty.
- Complete all paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- PC24 simulator based training within the last 12 months
- Second Class Medical Certificate
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Second In Command
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be at least 21 years of age
