The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) seeks a skilled Airplane Pilot to join its Aircraft Services organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves flying multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to support critical power grid missions across the region, operating as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) to transport agency leadership and technical specialists.
About the Role
The Airplane Pilot will operate commuter-category turbine aircraft, undertaking regional and international flights throughout the Pacific Northwest, other U.S. regions, and into Canada. The position requires exercising flight authority and operational risk management, making critical decisions regarding flight continuation, diversion, or termination based on weather, route efficiency, and aircraft systems. Advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration using Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles is essential. The pilot will also collaborate closely with aircraft maintenance teams, providing operational write-ups, assisting with ground engine run-ups, and conducting functional check flights.

Qualifications

Possession of a FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

Minimum Flight Hour Requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.
-
100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 hours in multi-engine airplanes with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours actual Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".

Subject to initial and random drug and alcohol testing.
