The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking an accomplished Airplane Pilot to operate multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, in support of critical power grid missions across the Pacific Northwest. About the Role
As an Airplane Pilot with BPA Aircraft Services, incumbents will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) flying commuter-category turbine aircraft. Key responsibilities include transporting agency leadership, engineers, and essential personnel safely throughout the Pacific Northwest, other regions of the United States, and into Canada. The role demands exercising flight authority and operational risk management, evaluating conditions to ensure safe mission continuation, diversion, or termination. Advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration using Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles is essential. Furthermore, pilots will collaborate with aircraft maintenance teams, providing precise operational write-ups and assisting with functional check flights.

Subject to an initial drug test prior to appointment and random drug or drug and alcohol testing thereafter.

Qualifications

Possession of a FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating is a mandatory selective placement factor.

Minimum Flight Hour Requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.
-
100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 hours in multi-engine airplanes with max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".
