Position Summary: Global Express Captain
Wilks Brothers, LLC is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Express Captain to join its aviation team. This critical, full-time, on-site role in Cisco, TX, is paramount for ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional operation of the company’s Bombardier Global Express aircraft. The Captain will serve as the Pilot in Command, taking full responsibility for conducting all flights in strict adherence to FAA regulations, company policies, and the highest industry standards for aviation safety and customer service. This leadership position entails meticulously leading the flight crew, coordinating seamlessly with ground and maintenance teams, and consistently delivering an exceptional and discreet travel experience for company executives and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as Pilot in Command (PIC) on Bombardier Global Express aircraft, upholding the highest levels of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.
- Conducts comprehensive preflight planning, encompassing detailed route analysis, precise fuel calculations, thorough weather evaluation, and diligent alternate airport planning.
- Verifies aircraft airworthiness, performance data, and weight and balance calculations with absolute accuracy prior to each flight.
- Ensures rigorous compliance with FAA Part 91 and/or Part 135 regulations and all company operational manuals and procedures.
- Supervises and coordinates effectively with flight crew members, cabin attendants, and maintenance personnel to facilitate seamless and integrated flight operations.
- Maintains superior situational awareness and demonstrates sound, timely decision-making throughout all phases of flight, from planning to landing.
- Champions and actively promotes a robust safety culture in strict accordance with the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
- Adheres strictly to all FAA, ICAO, and relevant international aviation regulations and protocols.
- Ensures all required documentation, flight logs, and reports are completed accurately, meticulously, and submitted promptly.
- Actively participates in ongoing safety training, flight reviews, and recurrent simulator sessions as mandated by regulatory bodies and company standards.
- Delivers a world-class travel experience to passengers with utmost discretion, courtesy, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Maintains a consistently professional appearance and demeanor, reflecting positively on Wilks Brothers, LLC.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with passengers, crew, and support personnel, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Maintains current and proficient knowledge of Global Express aircraft systems, performance characteristics, and operational limitations.
- Successfully completes all recurrent and proficiency training as required by FAA and company standards to maintain currency and expertise.
- Assists in mentoring and evaluating First Officers, contributing to continuous improvement in flight operations and crew development.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate required.
- Bombardier Global Express series Type Rating required.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Valid Passport with no restrictions for international travel.
- Minimum of 5,000 total flight hours.
- Minimum of 2,000 hours as Pilot in Command.
- Minimum of 500 hours of international flight experience.
- Thorough understanding of FAA, ICAO, and all applicable international flight regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills.
- Excellent flight planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen emphasis on superior customer service.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Science, or a closely related field.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Rotorcraft certificate.
- Prior experience operating Global Express or similar large-cabin business jets under Part 91 operations.
Working Conditions
The Global Express Captain role necessitates prolonged periods of sitting within the pilot’s cabin during flight operations. The Captain must possess an exceptional ability to maintain singular task focus and superior situational awareness in dynamic and high-stakes environments. Long-term physical fitness for duty is paramount to continuously maintain all required licenses and certifications of fitness as mandated by regulatory agencies, including but not limited to the FAA and DOT. Specific vision abilities essential for this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, as well as accurately determining the distance between objects. The role also requires the ability to react quickly using hands, fingers, or feet, and to move two or more limbs together cohesively while remaining in place. The Captain must be adept at comprehending and following both written and oral instructions, capable of completing critical tasks effectively even with frequent interruptions, and skilled in exercising discretion and independent judgment as needed. Clear and effective communication, both over the phone and with fellow crew members and support staff, is vital for safe and efficient operations.
