Pilot – Citation XL-135 Second in Command (SIC)
Waltzing Matilda Aviation (WMA), a leading FAA Part 135 private jet charter operator, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Second in Command (SIC) to join our team based in Bedford, Massachusetts. This hybrid role reports to the Chief Pilot and offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
The SIC will perform all duties assigned by the Captain or Chief Pilot in accordance with FAR Part 135 regulations and company standard operating procedures. A commitment to safety, reliable service, and adherence to all regulatory requirements is paramount.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
- Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
- Commercial and Multi-Engine Rating.
- FCC Radiotelephone Operator's Permit.
- Successful completion of a 10-year background check and FAA Drug and Alcohol Program testing.
- Legal authorization to work in and travel to/from the United States and/or Canada without restriction.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Flight Time Requirements:
- Minimum 1000 hours of total documented flight time.
- Minimum 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
- Current instrument proficiency check, line check, and route check.
- Preference will be given to applicants demonstrating high-quality, recent, and verifiable flight experience, considering the complexity of aircraft flown, types of flight operations, and turbine-powered PIC hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot Multi-Engine Land Rating.
