A320 Captain
Responsibilities
The A320 Captain is entrusted with the paramount responsibility for the safe, efficient, and professional execution of all flight operations. Key duties include:
- Meticulously formulating comprehensive flight plans in strict adherence to regulatory standards and operational procedures.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight safety checks, detailed aircraft inspections, and system verifications to ensure the airworthiness and operational readiness of the aircraft.
- Maintaining clear, concise, and effective communication with Air Traffic Control (ATC) for all phases of flight, including departure, en-route navigation, and arrival clearances, alongside timely reporting of critical flight information.
- Continuously monitoring cockpit instruments, aircraft systems, meteorological conditions, and air traffic, promptly adapting the flight plan as necessitated by operational demands or safety considerations to ensure optimal performance.
- Proactively collaborating with cabin crew to ensure strict compliance with all onboard safety rules and regulations by passengers, fostering a secure environment.
- Completing accurate and comprehensive pre-flight and post-flight reports, detailing flight operations, aircraft status, and any notable observations or incidents.
Qualifications
To be considered for this demanding and highly specialized role, candidates must demonstrate compliance with stringent flight experience and general aviation requirements.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time on All Aircraft: 4,000 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) on Multi-Crew Aircraft: 1,500 hours
- Total flight time on A320 Family (A320F): 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) on A320 Family (A320F): 500 hours (excluding PICUS hours)
General Requirements:
- Age: Maximum 60 years for male applicants and 55 years for female applicants.
- License: Possession of a valid Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a current A320F Type Rating.
- Training: Certification of Upset Recovery Training (URT) successfully completed in a Full Flight Simulator.
- Ratings: Valid Instrument Rating and Aircraft Rating.
- Recency: Last flight on an A320F must have occurred within the last 12 months during the licensing period.
- Medical: Hold a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Documentation & Background:
- Letter of authentication from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of the CPL/ATPL's country of origin, including the name of the CAA Licensing Officer.
- Recommendation Letter or Release Letter from all previous airlines.
- Criminal Record Certificate, issued within the last 6 months and notarized by the Vietnam Embassy from the country of origin.
- No history of accident or incident within the past 5 years.
- Submission of the last 5 pages of the pilot logbook.
- ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher.
- A scanned copy of a valid passport with a minimum of 01-year validity remaining.
