Transavia is establishing a new operational base in Brussels and is actively seeking up to ten highly experienced former Transavia pilots for direct-entry Captain positions. This is a unique opportunity for individuals seeking a new professional challenge within a renowned airline. Candidates are expected to commit to full-time employment for the initial year. Successful applicants will embark on an exciting journey with Transavia, flying to diverse and appealing European destinations.

To be considered, former Transavia pilots must have been out of service with the airline for a minimum of six months prior to commencing employment at the Brussels base. Due to the nature of this non-consecutive contract, a comprehensive re-evaluation process will be undertaken, including a psychological assessment, a psychoactive substance use test, and a formal interview. A rigorous selection process will follow, culminating in the selection of the ten most qualified candidates. Employment commencement is scheduled for 2025, contingent upon individual availability and confirmed vacancies.

Essential Requirements

Prospective candidates must meet the following stringent criteria:

  • A valid European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
  • A valid Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (ME/IR (A)) with PBN privileges.
  • A current and valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • A valid Boeing 737NG type rating with a minimum of 1,000 current flight hours as Captain on type.
  • A total of at least 3,500 flight hours.
  • For Captains and Instructors: Qualification as a TRI (Type Rating Instructor) or LIFUS (Landing and Take-off First Officer Under Supervision) is required.
