GoJet Airlines, operating as United Express, is seeking dedicated and professional individuals to join its cabin crew as Flight Attendants based in Washington Dulles, Virginia (IAD). As a Flight Attendant for GoJet Airlines, the individual serves as the sole cabin crew member aboard the CRJ-550, holding vital responsibility for the safety, security, and comfort of all customers. This position requires a high level of professionalism, dependability, and the ability to provide exceptional service in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting a high standard and providing remarkable in-flight service to customers.
- Ensuring passenger safety and security throughout all phases of flight, from boarding to deplaning.
- Responding effectively to a variety of emergency and non-emergency situations, utilizing comprehensive training provided by the company.
- Maintaining a neat and orderly cabin environment.
- Demonstrating excellent dependability, punctuality, and strict adherence to all applicable regulatory and company work rules.
- Working effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, exercising sound judgment.
- Handling diverse situations and engaging professionally with the public, both onboard and off the aircraft.
- Ensuring the overall safety and comfort of all customers.
Qualifications:
Prospective Flight Attendants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, including making public announcements and giving emergency instructions.
- Must hold a valid Passport, driver’s license or state ID, and Social Security card.
- Must possess the legal right to travel unrestricted to and from all required states and countries, including Canada. Travel documents must remain valid throughout the training period and subsequent employment.
- Must reside within two hours or 100 miles of the Washington Dulles, VA (IAD) base to which the individual is applying.
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Ability to attend and successfully complete up to six weeks of paid training in St. Louis, MO.
- Ability to serve reserve duty, which requires being on call and available to report for duty in the assigned base. Reserve duty may continue for an undetermined duration.
- Adherence to strict uniform standards and guidelines, maintaining a professional and conservative appearance. Visible tattoos or body piercings on the hands, face, or neck that are not related to religious beliefs are not permitted.
- Preferred: Two years of customer service experience is desirable.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
The Flight Attendant role involves physical exertion and requires adaptation to various working conditions inherent in the aviation environment. This includes:
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects.
- Working in small, confined spaces.
- Operating in an environment subject to turbulence, dry air, and varying aircraft noise levels.
- Extensive travel, requiring consecutive nights away from home and enduring all climates.
- Working alternative schedules, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.

Compensation and Benefits:
GoJet Airlines offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:
- A $5,000 Sign-On Bonus.
- Hourly pay starting at $19.58, with a minimum guarantee of 75 hours per month.

Training Program:
Chosen candidates will participate in a company-paid training program at the GoJet Airlines Flight Attendant Training Center in St. Louis, MO. The program is approximately five to six weeks long and includes hands-on evaluation aboard an aircraft. Prior to the in-person training, candidates will be required to complete specific online pre-course modules through the Inflight Institute, achieving a score of 80% or higher on the pre-course assessment.
