GoJet Airlines invites professional, friendly, and enthusiastic individuals to join its distinguished team as a Flight Attendant based in Washington Dulles, VA. GoJet Airlines Flight Attendants enjoy a dynamic career traveling and providing exceptional service aboard the revolutionary CRJ-550 aircraft, operated for United Express.

As the sole Flight Attendant on the 50-passenger CRJ-550, this role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of customers from boarding to deplaning. Flight Attendants are responsible for creating a memorable and positive experience while upholding the highest standards of safety and customer service. GoJet Airlines is unique among regional carriers in allowing Flight Attendants to select their base during the application process, ensuring placement in the desired location.

  • Maintain a consistently neat and orderly cabin environment.
  • Rigorously adhere to all applicable aviation regulations and company work rules.
  • Maintain a professional and conservative appearance, strictly adhering to uniform standards and guidelines, including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings.
  • Professionally represent the GoJet Airlines brand at all times.
  • Engage directly with customers through outstanding communication skills, public speaking, sound judgment, and the ability to resolve issues with understanding, compassion, and perseverance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Two years of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in English, capable of making announcements, giving emergency orders, and communicating effectively.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
  • Must possess a valid Passport, driver’s license or state ID, and Social Security card.
  • Must possess the legal right to travel unrestricted to/from all required states and countries (including Canada).
  • Must reside within two hours or 100 miles of the assigned domicile (Washington Dulles, VA).
  • Travel documents must remain valid throughout all phases of training and employment.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Ability to attend up to 6 weeks of paid training in St. Louis, MO.
  • Must be able to be on call and available for duty in the assigned base (reserve duty), which may continue for an undetermined duration.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • The role requires physical exertion, including the ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, squat, push-pull, and lift heavy objects.
  • Involves long periods of standing and speaking.
  • Requires the ability to work comfortably in small, confined spaces and adapt to conditions such as turbulence, dry air, and varying aircraft noise levels.
  • Extensive travel is required, including consecutive nights away from home and exposure to various climates.
  • Requires flexibility to work alternative schedules, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Skilled in handling difficult situations, problem-solving, complaint resolution, and conflict de-escalation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, providing a friendly reception to all customers.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
  • Starting pay: $19.58 per hour
  • Guaranteed minimum of 75 hours per month
  • $2.00 per hour per diem

Training:

Selected candidates must successfully complete a company-paid training program at the Flight Attendant Training Center in Saint Louis, MO, followed by hands-on evaluation in the aircraft. The training program is approximately five to six weeks in length. Candidates are provided with complimentary pre-interview and pre-course training modules through the Inflight Institute to help understand the journey and prepare for the in-person training.
