Pilot in Command (Captain)

Position Summary

The Pilot in Command (Captain) is entrusted with the paramount responsibility of ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, both on the ground and in flight. A highly successful Captain consistently exceeds client expectations through clear and effective communication with leadership, team members, and dispatch. This role actively cultivates a culture of insight, prestige, and authenticity by serving as a leader and mentor to First Officers, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports administratively to the Chief Pilot.
  • Executes safe and efficient ground and in-flight aircraft operations.
  • Verifies passenger identification prior to boarding.
  • Ensures the thorough completion of the pre-flight checklist.
  • Provides training and mentorship to First Officers during assigned flights and on aircraft.
  • Proactively anticipates customer needs, striving to surpass their expectations.
  • Strictly adheres to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, company Flight Operations Manuals (GOM), Operational Specifications, and departmental operating procedures.
  • Maintains seamless communication and coordination with assigned crew, dispatch, maintenance, and administration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management or senior leadership.

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3,000 hours of Fixed Wing Total Time.
  • 1,500 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) Total Time.
  • 500 hours of Total Turbine Time.
  • Valid, unexpired U.S. Passport.
  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
  • Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Radio License.
  • Current, valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and embrace new challenges.
  • Eligibility to fly internationally into any country or jurisdiction without restrictions.
  • Must reside within a two-hour radius of a major airport.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Corporate Aviation or Part 135 Charter operations.
  • Current type rating for aircraft within the company's fleet.

Physical Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Must be capable of maintaining a seated position within confined spaces for extended periods.

Work Environment

  • Close interaction with customers and fellow flight crew members in a confined space is expected.
  • Employees may be required to spend multiple days or weeks away from home per work cycle.
