The Aviation Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of PepsiCo corporate aircraft, providing essential support to the business and the travel requirements of senior executives and their teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct flight operations in full compliance with international, federal, state, local, and corporate regulations.
  • Supervise flight crew personnel during operations and ensure the maximum safety, security, and comfort of all passengers.
  • Execute flight planning, brief the First Officer on flight details and meteorological conditions, and ensure the aircraft is properly cleaned, stocked, and prepared for departure.
  • Verify that all required certificates and manuals are onboard prior to commencing flight.
  • Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills to maintain strong communication and interpersonal standards throughout all phases of operation.
  • Solicit and integrate feedback from crewmembers and passengers to ensure service excellence.
  • Maintain strict adherence to PepsiCo Aviation Department Policies, Procedures, and applicable CFRs.
  • Demonstrate operational proficiency through daily performance and annual Operational Effectiveness Reviews.
  • Assist with baggage loading/unloading and address passenger needs as required.
  • Perform Second-in-Command duties when scheduling requirements dictate.
  • Maintain all required licenses and certificates; attend mandatory ground and simulator training to ensure ongoing proficiency in aircraft systems and regulations.
  • Support administrative tasks, including feasibility studies, reports, and management-assigned review groups.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and enhance departmental productivity using PepsiCo Inclusion techniques.

Qualifications

  • Airline Transport Pilot license (Type rating in specific aircraft preferred).
  • Current First Class FAA medical certificate (issued within the preceding 12 calendar months).
  • Valid FCC Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Minimum of 3,000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours flight time as Pilot-in-Command.
  • Minimum of 500 hours multiengine jet flight time.
  • Minimum of 500 hours multiengine jet flight time within the last two years.
  • Minimum of 250 hours in type required for promotion to Captain.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs) and aviation-related directives.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected compensation range for this position is $211,400 – $290,700, determined by location, skills, experience, and education. The role includes a performance-based annual bonus target of 8%.
