Pilot in Command / Captain (Aviation)
Position Summary
The Pilot in Command (PIC) / Captain holds paramount responsibility for ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional execution of all ground and in-flight aircraft operations. This pivotal role demands exceptional leadership, a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, and the ability to foster clear and effective communication with company leadership, fellow team members, and dispatch. A successful Captain will act as a mentor and leader to First Officers, cultivating a dynamic environment of insight, prestige, and unwavering authenticity within our aviation operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command is entrusted with a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Assuming administrative accountability to the Chief Pilot, ensuring alignment with organizational directives.
- Maintaining primary responsibility for the impeccable safety and efficiency of all ground and in-flight aircraft operations.
- Verifying the identification of all passengers prior to aircraft boarding, adhering to security protocols.
- Ensuring the meticulous completion of all pre-flight checklists and procedures.
- Providing dedicated training and mentorship to First Officers on assigned flights and aircraft, fostering their professional development.
- Proactively anticipating and exceeding customer expectations through exceptional service delivery.
- Strictly complying with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, company General Operations Manual (GOM), Operational Specifications, and internal department operating procedures.
- Maintaining seamless communication and coordination with the assigned flight crew, dispatch, maintenance personnel, and administrative departments.
- Executing other duties as assigned by management or senior leadership to support operational excellence.
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
Candidates for the Pilot in Command / Captain position must demonstrate the following qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3,000 hours of total fixed-wing flight time.
- 1,500 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) total flight time.
- 500 hours of total turbine engine flight time.
- Possession of a current and valid U.S. Passport.
- Hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Possess an FCC Radio License.
- Maintain a current and valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exhibit the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic aviation environment and embrace new challenges as the company expands.
- Be eligible to fly internationally into any country or jurisdiction without restrictions.
- Reside within a two-hour commute of a major airport.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in corporate aviation or Part 135 charter operations.
- Current type rating for aircraft within the company's fleet.
Physical Requirements

- Must possess and consistently maintain a valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Ability to maintain a seated position comfortably within a confined space for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
